Who is a Life Coach?

A Life Coach is a professional who works with clients to help them achieve their goals and overcome their challenges by providing guidance and support in various areas, including goal-setting for future plans.

A Coach helps clients explore the underlying causes of their blocks as well as helping to find routes to success.

The aim of this kind of counselling is to help people break their negative belief patterns, act more decisively, set clear goals towards achieving what they want from life, build a reliable and realistic plan to reach these goals and have some form of accountability.

Life Coaching is not Therapy

Life Coaches serve as support through various aspects of life

Coaches can help improve self confidence and emotional well-being

Coaching is not mental health treatment and coaches are not mental health therapists

Therapists help understand psychological patterns to change behavior

Therapists can diagnose and treat mental health

Some therapists can prescribe medication for psychological and mental health conditions

  • « Pain in life is inevitable, but suffering is not. Pain is what the world does to you, suffering is what
you do to yourself. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional  »

    - Buddha

  • « The coach is not a problem solver, a teacher, an adviser, an instructor or even an expert; a coach is
a sounding board, a facilitator who raises awareness and responsibility »

    - John Whitmore

  • « Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them
to learn rather than teaching them »

    - Timothy Gallwey
